It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of our founding partner and property market pioneer Geoff Mason, aged 83.
Together with Barry Owen, Geoff founded Mason Owen in 1967. In 1993 he founded Mason Partners which recently celebrated its 30th Anniversary. Geoff was the UK’s first out of town retail property agent acting for retailers including MFI, Kwik Save and Iceland as well as developers such as Eddie Healey, Albert Gubay and the Richardsons. He was the original letting agent on Meadowhall and Merry Hill Shopping centres.
Geoff loved his long and incredibly successful career in property where his enthusiasm, knowledge, determination and hard work shone brightly. Geoff was an inspiration to many after five decades in the property industry and will be dearly missed.
Everyone at Mason Partners would like to share our deepest sympathies with Geoff’s family and friends.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present. At a later date, arrangements will be made in Liverpool to celebrate Geoff’s life, details of which will be posted in due course.
